Born and raised in Southern California, Cheryl Bradshaw became interested in writing at a young age, but it was almost two decades before she put pen to paper. In 2009 Cheryl wrote her first novel, Black Diamond Death (the first book in her Sloane Monroe series). Within six weeks of being release it topped the Amazon kindle #100 list in two different mystery categories, a position it held for over a year. Since that time, Bradshaw has written three more novels in the series, with a plan to release a fifth installment toward the end of 2013. Bradshaw also released a boxed set of the first three novels in the series which had over 100,000 kindle downloads in its first month of release.
Bradshaw's second novel, Sinnerman, was nominated for a Whitney Award in 2011, and she also received recognition for I Have a Secret, which was entered as one of Amazon's breakthrough novels of 2012. Bradshaw is the founder of IWU, a writers group on Facebook with over 1,600 members. In 2012 she was named one of Twitter's seven best authors to follow, and she has almost 30,000 followers to date.
When she's not hard at work writing her next novel, Cheryl is an avid reader and loves to travel. She is especially passionate about vintage novels. “When I’m not reading whodunits, I love a good throwback to another place in time." Bradshaw has traveled a great deal but is most fond of locations with historical ties, her favorite being Abraham Lincoln’s birthplace and childhood home. “Each place I visit offers inspiration in one form or another which I draw from when I’m writing. A change of scenery opens up a whole new world of unique possibilities.”
